Richmond / Carpenter Theater

Carpenter Theater opened in 1928 as the Richmond Loew’s Theater, a state-of-the-art movie palace. Inside and out, the architect designed a “Spanish plaza” atmosphere. The theater closed in 1979, and was then purchased by the Richmond Symphony.
