Williams House, aka Jones-Williams House, was built for William Henry Jones, a tobacco merchant, in 1891. Marion J. Dimmock designed the building in Richardsonian Romanesque style, using James River granite. Jones sold the house to A. D. Williams in 1899. Richmond Professional Institute acquired the property in 1952, and it is now part of the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) campus, used as administration offices.
