Brentmore’s U-shape plan gives the appearance of two buildings, when viewed from Central Park. Unlike its modern neighbor, Brentmore has the classical tripartite design of base, shaft, capital. The Beaux Arts/neo-Renaissance landmark was designed by prolific architects Schwartz & Gross, and completed in 1910.
