NYC / Brooklyn / Park Slope Historic District

Park Slope Historic District is a huge swath of mostly residential buildings, roughly two blocks deep by 24 blocks long, across the entire northwest border of Prospect Park. The original district, designated in July 1973, was extended in April 2012 and again in April 2016. Combined, these districts cover more than 2,500 buildings. A related district, Prospect Heights, was designated in June 2009. (A smaller National Historic District of 1,800 buildings was created in 1980.)

The Landmarks Preservation Commission designation reports (linked below) provide detailed information about every building, the history of the district, and commentary on the architects and styles used in the district.

This photo gallery will likely never be complete, as the district encompasses more than 2,000 buildings!
